      • Labor is charged hourly and is variable.

  • What Payment Methods Do You Accept?

    • We accept cash, debit, credit and check.
  • Do I Need to Pay a Deposit?

    • Yes, there is a deposit to book your move with us. Our standard deposit amount is $100.
  • Is There a Minimum Charge?

    Yes. We have a two-hour minimum charge.

  • How Big Are Your Trucks?

    • The trucks we use range anywhere from 12’ to 26’, depending on project scope. The trucks we own and use the most are 24’ box trucks.

  • Do you offer commercial crates for business shipping?

    Yes! We provide durable commercial crates for industrial and commercial shipping needs. Our packing and crating services help businesses transport equipment, artwork, and machinery safely and securely. Each crate is customized to meet your exact dimensions and protection requirements.

Long Distance Moves
  • Do you perform interstate moves?

    We currently do not provide interstate services. Although it is our aspiration to eventually offer this service, we don’t currently meet the USDOT requirements to cross state lines. However, we can move you anywhere in the Lone Star State.

  • Is the cost structure different for a long distance move?

    No. Just like a local move, the cost structure is as follows:

    • Hourly for the LOAD and UNLOAD
    • Flat rate for the drive time
  • Is there a deposit for a long distance move?

    Yes. The standard deposit for a long distance move is 50% of the Travel Charge.

Services Offered
  • Do you provide load/unload only services?

    Yes. For example, if you’re unloading your own moving truck or portable storage unit into your new home, that is something we can help you with.

  • Do you provide packing and unpacking services?

    Yes, we offer both packing and unpacking services (as well as packing supplies!).

  • Do you provide moving services for businesses?

    Absolutely. Whether moving home or office, the Round Table team can deliver!

  • Can you move heavy items?

    We can. If you have something large like a gun safe, we can get that moved for you. We currently do not move grand or baby-grand pianos, but we will move any upright pianos you might have.

  • Do you disassemble/reassemble furniture?

    We sure do! If you’re short on time, we recommend doing this yourself, but our team is prepared and more than happy to take care of most assembly needs. The only things we don’t like to take apart are pieces made of MDF or other composite material.

  • Do you connect/ disconnect appliances?

    Yes, we are certainly equipped and willing to do so. We ask that any customer that requires this service to sign our form acknowledging the request, and we’ll get that taken care of for you.

  • Do you mount T.V.s?

    T.V. mounting is currently not a service offered by our company.

  • Does your company offer storage?

    Round Table Moving Company does not currently offer storage services. However, we would be happy to help you find a storage facility that suits your specific needs.

My Estimate
  • How did you come up with my hourly rate?

    Your hourly rate is determined by the following variables- number of trucks, size of crew, type of work (packing or moving) and current demand.

  • Why is there a price range on my estimate?

    We aspire to be as precise as possible with every estimate for every customer. However, there are always unforeseen variables that may cause the duration of a move to fluctuate. To account for this, we provide a 2 hour labor range for most jobs.

  • You say my estimate is guaranteed. What does that mean?

    Giving accurate, realistic estimates is very important to us, so we guarantee that your move WILL NOT cost more than estimated as long as the scope of the project does not change.

    • Please note that a change in the scope of work will nullify this guarantee. Examples of this are: changes to inventory of items being moved, undisclosed steps involved, undisclosed stops, etc.
  • What is valuation?

    Valuation is the industry term for “coverage” or “liability” in the instance of damages incurred during the move process. Valuation is not insurance. Licensed movers are required by federal and state law to offer every customer two (2) options for valuation.

  • What are the two types of valuation?

    Every customer has two options for valuation: Increased Value Protection or Released Value Protection. Please note that different companies may use varied terminology when referring to these options. Always be sure that you understand the choices you’re being given before making your selection.

  • What is Increased Value Protection?

    Increased Value Protection covers your items for full repair or replacement value up to $5 per pound per article. You may waive Full Value Protection in lieu of “Released Value Protection”.

  • What is Released Value Protection?

    Released Value Protection is the minimum liability coverage a carrier (mover) must offer if a customer waives their right to Increased Value Protection. Released Value Protection is free, and the minimum liability coverage is 60 cents per pound per article.

  • If I choose the lower coverage, will you be less careful with my items?

    Your decision will have no effect on the care with which we handle your move. We operate meticulously to mitigate risk of damage as much as possible, regardless of the valuation chosen.

Move Day
  • Can I add items to my move?

    Yes, absolutely. As our customer, our team will always be happy and willing to accommodate you whenever possible. Please keep in mind that any items added will not be reflected by the estimate and will extend the duration of your move. Adding items will also nullify the guarantee on your estimate.

  • When do I pay for my move?

    Payment is due at the end of every move. For multiple-day projects, payment is due at the end of each work day for services and materials rendered.

  • How do I pay at the end of my move?

    Our team is equipped with a mobile POS system and will be able to process your card on site. We can also accept remote payments via digital-payable invoice.

  • Can I have someone else there for me if I can’t be there?

    Yes. We recommend having someone you trust available to oversee the move and sign the paperwork in your stead.

  • What if the weather is bad?

    We are equipped to perform your move in most inclement weather. If we deem a situation dangerous for our team, we will have to stop the project. We will then reschedule your move at no additional cost to you.
